If you have reservations please make sure you keep your confirmation number with you, this is your proof of reservation, without it your room may be assigned to someone else. Getting Here
For your arrival we have placed a link to map quest below. The zip code for Fort Richardson, AK is 99505. Type in your address and simply enter 99505 under "end zip code". Click the "get directions" button. (You may have to click "get directions" more than once. If you are flying you may also use map quest by clicking on the airport link or code. Once in Alaska you will find Fort Richardson on the Glenn Highway just north of Anchorage. From Anchorage, take the Arctic Valley Exit and turn left toward the main gate.


All officers and enlisted soldiers must report to the Welcome Center on arrival. The Replacement detachment is located on Richardson St. Bldg Number 600. You can reach them at 907-384-0425 or DSN 317-384-0425.

You will usually be with the detachment for 5 days. Once you’re signed in, a billeting assignment and bedding will be given to you. If you aren’t on separate rations, you will also receive a temporary meal card. If you arrive with your family, they will be made comfortable at the Fort Richardson Lodge during your inprocessing. To be prepared for inprocessing, you must be in uniform (ACU) and have all your personal records with you. Medical, Finance, Personnel, and Dental will be required. You will begin duties after inprocessing so make sure to have enough uniforms to begin duties.
